False analogy as theree are laws that address this very issue.
The issue is a company screwing up and trying to make others pay for it.

    for the labor they performed.

I agree but the store can't later claim the milk really costs $8.

Then $8 it is to pay if the price tag says so at time of purchase. I got a receipt to show for it.
The op had the price tag shown on the touch pad at the service desk too. He took more jugs of milk than he paid for, the store reflected on it and wants more payment. The op job now is to make sure that he, indeed, received that many more jugs of milk.

The company is asking a customer to pay for their screwup. Period. What should be paid is what was agreed to and accepted by the fact the company made an invoice and the op paid it.

Again, it's not my responsibility as a customer to fix a company screwup. Why is it my responsibility to spend my time and money (takes gas to get there) to fix their screwup? It's not. It's their responsibility to not screwup.

But you obviously prefer to pay for a screwup caused by a company instead of making them take responsibility for their actions. We will obviously not agee on this so this is my last post on the subject.

You don't pay for the company screw up, you are at a discomfort because of the company screw up but you pay for things provided to you. So to make it right, let's assume Home Depot wants to send a truck to you to collect the items and pay you for the wait and arrangement. Would it be all right?
There're those self check outs at Home Depots too. I hope that at least you can admit that your accidental check out of unscanned items in that configuration would be your screw up only and your responsibility to return or pay but wait ... you can still blame it on poor check out security features, can't you? So it would not be your fault after all, would it?

We don't know the OP got something for nothing. It would be great if he posted the invoice here but he hasn't. He says he paid close to $1,000 in labor so it's not like TA forgot to add the labor charge to the bill. His confusion leads me to believe he did pay what was agreed upon.

That's ok. For the sake of the discussion we assumed that the hours were good. Not charged on the 1st invoice but good. If they were not good - no extra jugs of milk, then there is no case and the OP does not owe them anything and they are nothing but liars trying to screw him for money.
