Imagine all these trucking companies not going bankrupt just by sending additional invoices to their customers for services rendered long ago.

You need the customer's approval before you make changes to an invoice or add to it or make up a random ### one later.

In fact every invoice I've ever had for work on my own truck they explained line by line what I paid for, what they decided to discount, and what they had to charge a little extra BEFORE I signed, dated, and paid.

Did the OP ever come back to this thread and say what the work was?

It was probably just a light bulb. One of those rare 4" rounds that are near impossible to source.

In most states a repair shop most have any and all work authorized via a repair estimate. Should the amount of the estimate change, then they are required to get another signed estimate, or authorized by dl#, dob, etc..
That being said, they should’ve written you an estimate with the total of parts, labor, taxes, and any fees before they started the repair.

    ZVar and Rideandrepair Thank this.
