What does the invoice state? If it says paid in full, then it's paid in full and tell them to pound sand.
An invoice is a contract and if they fail to account for all their costs, that's their problem.
After all if you took a load and lost money on it because you missed something on the rate con would you expect the broker to pay more?
Shop trying to charge me more labor after I've paid the invoice?

In the invoice it says I was charged 966 dollars in labor so i dont understand where the extra 700 dollars of labor they want to charge me comes from. I can deal with never going back to that specific TA but i might need to go to another TA along the way for oil changes and stuff like that. I dont know if all TAs are interconnected and if i go to another TA it will come up on their system if thats the case im goona have to bite the bullet and pay it.

Never ceases to amaze me to what lengths these crooks will go to try and bilk an extra charge out of honest, working people. Legal crooks, plain and simple, and since nothing is done, such as some kind of socialistic control, these people are free to charge whatever they want. 1st of all, I'd be interested in what they did for $4000, which is probably overcharged to begin with, then add another 25%. 2nd, and this is the suckiest part, you want to do these kinds of jobs, and not repair it yourself, you may as well bend over in front of these guys. They know they have you by balls, and as folks like you eventually give up, the ones remaining will have to pay even more to make up for it. Kind of what happened to you. Good luck, pal, and people think O/O is still a good deal, with these kinds of shenanigans going on?

if they insist and harass you over it, call the T/A corp and tell them what’s going on, tell them you are filing a fraud complaint with the state.
if you paid with a credit card, which I hope you did, you can contact them too if the location is getting stupid about the additional charge,Gearjammin' Penguin, Bean Jr. and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Sounds fishy to me. You paid left and got over a day down the road. Now they are demanding more money. If your ticket says $4000 paid then call T/A corp and tell them whats going on and show them a copy of the invoice on request. To me it sounds like they made a mistake somewhere else and are trying to bilk you into paying for it.

First of all:
1. "An invoice on its own is not a contract in a legal sense, because it does not prove an agreement between two parties. Instead, an invoice is created by a business and sent to a client to request payment for its services and is therefore a one-sided document."
Is an Invoice a Contract? Create Freelance Contracts to Protect Your Business.
"...An invoice doesn’t qualify as a contract, nor does a contract serve as an invoice."
Is an invoice a contract?
In our o/o business. The contract is the broker-carrier agreement and rate confirmation(s) serving as addendum(s) to the agreement (the contract).
2. Also, contracts do not ALWAYS have to be explicitly in writing on the obvious. The obvious is that someone does a physical work, he needs to be paid for it - by legal implication or presumption.
3. TA/Petro have you per forma sign the work order in which you agree to pay for labor stated in their price schedule. There is your contract that you sign on that little touch pad mounted on their service desk.
4. Where is your ethics?
So far I see, most of the members here are voting for screwing the TA repair crew but I am curious what would they say if they were not paid detention or lumper's fee because they forgot to add the charge, lost the lumpers receipt or their BOL went missing, or errored in entering the right amount, e.g. $500.00 instead of $5, 000.00.
I recommend this for a good listen while you drive:

I, myself, am not fond of TA/Petro/Love's repair shops and try to stay far from them like a devil from the holy water.
But If I have them do something on my equipment, happy or unhappy of the results, I'll pay them always, like I would pay at any other shop.Vitkouski, Bean Jr., Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.
