One thing further. I'm just plain tired of incompetence all the way around. Whether your a driver, mechanic, or what the F ever. When you get it right the first time you don't worry about such things. TA has proven to be beyond a reasonable doubt they can't get it right. EVER. Two adults exchanged money. Maybe they should focus on their customers more instead of paying commissions on the job. They will never have the chance to call me on the phone.
What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong, but there is a big difference between a reputable shop and TA. As a truck owner I expect competence when I stroke a check. Not phone calls later.
Shop trying to charge me more labor after I've paid the invoice?

Someone could have cracked into TA's weaksause network just looking for something like this. All the info you give TA can be aquired by someone with ill intentions.
F-it. Wait until you get something in the mail and then find a lawyer.Rideandrepair and gentleroger Thank this. -
Simple fact is TA screwed up. The question is who pays for TA's screwup?
Apparently you think the customer should pay for a businesses screwup. While those of us realize the companies screwup is their problem, not anyone else's.
Should the customer pay for if a jack fails and ruins the oil pan? How is that different than this? In both cases it's the shop problem that the shop caused due to not doing their job properly.Gearjammin' Penguin, Badmon and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I apologize if it caused any upset.Sirscrapntruckalot, Bean Jr., God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this. -

The OP not coming back in this thread tells me about all I need to know. He knows the work that was done, knows about how long his truck was in the shop, and knows if $966 is even close to what his labor charge should be.
That said, I’m surprised how many here would be fine not paying a legit charge because of a mistake. I bet most would be here crying if someone owed them $700.tarheelsfan105, Bean Jr., Siinman and 5 others Thank this. -
It doesn't matter how long they actually spent working on the truck, what matters is how long the labor guide said the job should take.
If the book says it's a 4-hour job, the shop should charge the customer for 4 hours of labor regardless of how many clock hours it took the tech to complete the work. They certainly don't charge you less if the tech finishes in less time than the labor guide calls for.D.Tibbitt, Bean Jr., God prefers Diesels and 1 other person Thank this. -
