I’ve had MP’s since 09 at the company I work for, you’re right the early MPs had injector cup issues, I’ve never been overly impressed with the fuel mileage we get, struggle to get 6, but I’m sure with the right set up you could achieve better MPG. For local dump work I would go as far back year wise as I could go, the trucks take a beating and with all the new technology you’ll constantly be fighting issues in my opinion. I drove an old Winn Dixie Volvo(ant eater style) some years ago hauling sod and it was the best truck I’ve ever driven, did amazing off road and was quite comfortable on the highway.
