I guess when they went from sand cans to boxes it cut out the overloading and now we see twice as many sand trucks with the boxes. I don’t remember seeing as many sand truck jobs now compared to 2013
-
Hauled crude in the Bakken up until the money dried up, left and went OTR (last couple of years) for myself. Was persuaded in going back out in the latter part of '17, worked a couple months, left, just can't see that it's worth it. I would go back but they're gonna have to pony up.
Justrucking2 Thanks this. -
I wondered why there were so many sand cans this time around
-
Whats a sand can? Pneumatic?
I read the sand box sight. Cheaper cheaper cheaper. LOL.
Aint that the way it goes? -
My understanding is that the whole box is unloaded like an inter model, no pneumatic
-
a buddy of mine went to ohio to run sand can, sez the ELD things eating him alive, he's quitting
-
and don't even think oil haulers are making money, i left after going back for two months last fall, not worth it
-
Some companies are getting around the ELD by putting it in and leaving it half hooked up so it doesn’t work right. Running paper as always. So many trucks so few DOT.
But yes, I see job ads that say 70 hours ELD at $20 an hour. That’s no better than OTRJustrucking2 Thanks this. -
I need more than 20 bucks an hour to live in a man camp. I dont guess its overtime after 40 either ...
