Are you trying company training? What about a community college and financial assistance?

I would think if you're paying cash for school, shouldn't be a problem. The problem arises when you try to get hired on.

At least they are being honest with you. A lot of schools out there would probably take your money and let you figure out after you graduate.

12 year old DUI should not be to much of a problem unless you have some other stuff on your license. Most company's web sites say no DUI in the past 7to10 years. I dont think you would have a problem going to a trucking company sponsored school where you work for them for whatever time their contract states, Then the schooling is free. If you quit before the contract ends you will be charged what ever the full cost of schooling is.
