Should a driver pay for leaving their keys inside the truck?

40 years of hiring people in different industries and only have run into a few like this. Just send them down the road to become someone else's problem.

Sometimes i complain about my drivers but all i have to do is read some of the post's here and i realize how good they really are.

 

I have a perfect driving and delivery record and have made boatloads of cash for the greedy capitalists I have slaved for. They can pick up the dime for little goofs like this or I move on to the next bloodsucker and improve their bottom line.

 

then to keep clean and maintain ( like not making holes in the walls or kicking in doors, you know, damaging) the inside of an apartment you are renting or leasing, is not your responsibility either..??

Got a couple of young one's that do a great job and don't think the world owes them.

 

Have never run into someone who doesn't think they are the best. In reality, just average.

 

i got a niece, great kid, she is one of'em MIL-N-E-ELS, but she is not like the others as well, really great ADULT, never asks for anything, works, goes to college, has her own place, pays her bills, but the others....

we ought to go back in time, and slap thier mama's and poppas upside thier heads.

 

So your telling us you don’t do a pretrip or post trip inspections?
And if you do find something wrong you don’t say anything?

 

well, evidently, like he said, it's not his truck, it's the company's truck.....

 

A lot of millennials are actually pretty good people. We have a couple working in our shop.
The bad ones make the most noise and they're the ones that get noticed.

 

It's stuff like this that kills me, now I'm not old enough to claim to have rebuilt a motor or pulled a tranny on the side of the road, but I have changed tires, adjusted a clutch brake, adjust slack adj, changed air bags, tied off air lines, coiled down a spring can, levered back cammed over brakes, pulled a drive shaft, changed a wheel bearing and all other manner of truck and trailer repairs, because back in that day, THAT IS HOW YOU GOT HOME!!! Now I have to pay somebody to change a light bulb for a driver, kinda crazy, but what do I know?
