Beside a headline that's designed to catch eyes by being vaguely controversial, I don't see how the story is grossly leftist.
What does it say?
Companies advertise easy employment and big paychecks, and promise drivers (and potential drivers) just about everything short of the leprechaun guarding the pot of gold.
Folks hard up for work jump at the advertising, and find out that starting pay sucks (for the most part), that time away from home is often waaay longer than advertised, and that small blemishes on their driving records from many years past can get them thrown out of school before they even get a permit.
The headline should read, "Should the unemployed be so quick to jump into the trucking industry?" ... but otherwise there's nothing wrong with the facts of the article, even without the interviews. That the average driver makes $38,000 is totally undisputed fact.2021DREAM Thanks this. -
Yur' right.................I ranted.

I wonder how much the training companies and mega carriers bring the pay average down.

Id have to agree with ecu51. The Laziness of this gen is crazy. Its like there mom and dad said you can do any thing ( even nothing) and make tons of money. If you dont want to put in the time and effort dont waist every one elses time. You run in to it every where even the military, i know i was in for 7 1/2 years. You want good money be ready to earn it.
