So let me get this . You can't run your 70 hour clock. Or you choose not to, but want the company to pay you because you ran out of hours. Yeah, not seeing that. If you had to sit e to apt time or something else. Sure, but not cuz of your choice on clock mgmt. SMH

Company assigns me loads, I run loads on time based on what they assign me. Sometimes that will eat up my 70 before recaps can be recognized.
Company dispatchers also prefer we take a reset over running on recaps. It makes THEIR job easier -

No matter what right now, you stay with the Truck and Trailer !!!! Deal with them later. My company pays everthing.

Take a sight seeing tour. Get out of the truckstop, pull your curtains and go for a walk, I use to take this with me when I did a lot of resets on the road, lots to do.Wargames Thanks this.

Never had to but my company pays $230 every 24 hours plus hotel room and personal use of truck. I would not do a layover or reset without reasonable compensation.
