I was told to make a thread on the Hot Shot trucking form because you guys were making jokes instead of giving me advice. Thank you though.

Well I was asking for a general answer. I understand that but I think that would help out a lot. Its one thing to get into box trucking and working 8 hours a day, vs working twice that. I believe if you work harder than others, you have to get ahead.

All working 15 hours a day is going to do is make you go broke twice as fast.

Right now you know nothing about nothing. You don't know rates, freight lanes, fixed costs, variable costs, shippers, HOS, weight restrictions , load securement- NOTHING.

Knowing nothing is a bad way to start a business. If this is something you want, get a cdl first then work for someone who already has a business and figure out what questions you need to be asking.

There's several of those one-truck companies here in Las Vegas and they stay busy.

About 2/3rds of my loads would fit in a 24ft box. Sometimes i wonder 8f that would be viable route or if 53ft is better for practical reason. As for your question. I'd say if you want to get into household moving. I would be good idea. A childhood friend is doing well with 3 box trucks doing local moving in New Orleans. As for what i do, automotive production expedite, i see "some" landstar and load 1 doing it but not much.... so my final answer would be no as well

I’ve seen Landstarve sleeper box trucks that say “Expedite” on them. Basically OTR….

Weren't there a lot more of those Panther box trucks several years ago? Seems like I haven't seen them much anymore if at all.
