I drove a 359 Pete for years. I could reach over and roll the passenger window down with out leaning just about.

The more room you have the more stuff you decide you need. The more you need the more work you make on yourself. Course had I started in something else I may have a different opinion. You can't miss what you never had

I’m noticing that both Volvo and KW has things easy to reach.
    The difference is:
Volvo designs their trucks so everything is easy to reach when you have the drivers seat adjusted right.
KW has everything on top of you. You can’t miss it. It’s all piled up. You have a hard time avoiding everything. :)

If it comes with an optional engine and drivetrain, and plastic body parts warranty I say go for it.
Not sure they offer that though because they would go broke in no time flat.

Not sure what you're pulling, but if you want a solid Kenworth, you should go with the W9 with a X15 Performance set at 565/2050. You'll stay in top gear all day long. That and the 565 P tune is apparently the one with the least number of problems so far. If you go with the Efficiency, get the turbo speed sensor double checked, it causes some major issues with the emissions system.

What's the fuel mileage 5.5 mpg? May as well be driving an old big cam honestly.

The company terminal where I park my truck has all MX-13's.
I was talking to the terminal manager and the owner about all the horror stories, snd they both looked at me like was stupid.
They said they have no issues other than a sensor here or there. They said the only issue is the tire damage sensor system, which is interlocked with the transmission. They have all those removed, they say that is junk, one bump, and it thinks the tire is ruined.

That 565HP is way more than I need. That MX 13 is bouncing around $12K less than the X 15 as well, so if I did do it, I'd give the Paccar a try.

Like to add a couple drivers though, might have one, so we'll see.

I know an entire shop who hates the MX-13 with an absolute passion. It's bad sensors every week, and they are all emissions related. They are also really temperamental with codes. They can't wait to get rid of all the lease trucks.

The MX-13, properly modified, is an outstanding motor, but it's something you need to do before you start taking it out on the road, right from the start, because it just chokes the life out of them. They come alive once it's properly fixed, and don't have any serious problems. Before you do though, it'll be in the shop on a weekly basis for a code reset.

Go with the Efficiency X15. The 505/1850 pulls like a champ, even in Canada at 100,000 lbs gross.

Friend of mine is running the 505/1850 Efficiency and getting 7-8 mpg at 80,000 lbs gross through Wisconsin regularly. In a 389 flat top pulling decks.
