Ive always loved the Great Dane reefer or without.

If money was no object, it would be a 10.1 foot spread, aft axle lift, two locking side boxes That open from Bottom up, otherwise if you open top down, then load you will find the lids, hinges etc too damaged to shut.

120 gallon tank near landing gear, no skirts. Aluminum wheels, not steel (You can load a little more on them) and if room permits next to the air chute the trailer interior roof will have a railroad capable of lifting 5 ton pallets anywhere inside to either the dock or to the ground level outside.

The reefer may feature some additional smaller connections to accept tractor power to keep running temporarily should it;s alternator or battery fail. It probably will also have a single connection to which you may transfer 120 volts to the tractor as a seondary reserve source of power in bace your tractor's APU fail to function or your main engine will not acceot a cranking start command (Example bad ECM...) The disadantage is several more cabling to hook on other than the normal redl blue and pigtail.

You may have to accept a 48 foot great dane so California will not be giving you a hard time.

Another idea would be to have one of the spread axles (Probably forward) will drive two manually positioned by hand crank a solid tired wheel so that ad you run across say Nebraska in a winter storm situation, your power will be generated with a sufficient voltage to dedicated metal lattice wtihin special plates so that ice, snow etc does not try to pile up all over the underside,, the sides and framing etc of that trailer back there. Additional specially volted heating cables will wrap air lines and so on under there so that your trailer tanks, air lines, cambers etc all have a reasonable degree of working temperature so that if something did come up your actions will be taken by your trailer as you intended it without lag, delay, frozen other problems big enough to build a real smash em up accident out of what would maybe have been a routine get out of the way you idiot car!

Well as long we don't elect another moron, I don't see things busting.

People have been saying for twenty years the super recession, or even a super depression is coming.
If it will just wait for another 20, I'll be very well off or dead and it won't really matter.

Does not matter who is in charge,no economic boom has ever lasted.
    It will allways end badly.

Played devils advocate because not all have been at this as long as you or me.
Was worth pointing out to some newer O/O's that they still need to plan for lesser times.
