Just ran the miles on Google maps. My guess would be about 5 to 5.5 hours round trip with NO traffic. That's taking it easy.
There's still some pretty good grades around there for a 275hp. Will you be grossing 80K most of the time? Are you did set on buying this particular tractor?
Should I buy a truck, trailer and go to CDL school for this driving contract?

Look up the product you are hauling and see if it is on federal exempt commodity list. If it is get exempt commodity authority, insurance is cheeper, much cheeper. Plate for only states you run. I think you will do well with this opportunity. If you look at exempt list there are a lot of products you can load and make money on. Good luck. We all started some place. www.fmcsa.dot.gov/documents/adminrule.pdf (link to list). Pm me if you like, and I can help you in any way I will sure try.

Thanks for the PM offer, I will do as soon as I'm able...
I have 22 Pallets on average, about 15 of them weight 1,250 pounds and the other 7 weight all the way up to 2,500... which of course I would put in the very back.
I assumed if I put the light pallets in the front, I would be fine. -
If your trailer was a spread axle you could scale up to 40k on the trailer, but closed tandem you can't go over 34k

2. Due to not having a fuel surcharge and mechanical expenses , you're paycheck can vary wildly.
3. You need to find a backhaul. You will also need to run that truck at east 5 days a week.
4. You are going to need at least 10k in the bank. Always expect a tow and a repair at the worst time.
