Looking to haul local construction loads. Lots of traffic here. Would anyone recommend auto 2015 kenworth with 330k and Cummins engine? I hear they breakdown often or have electrical issues?
Any advice would be helpful. Thank you

I wouldn't unless it's the newest Eaton that can talk to and control the Cummins engine. I'm driving a Freightliner with the DT-12 automatic. It made by Detroit so I can talk and even control the Detroit engine. It can do stuff like turn on the engine brake between shifts. It has GPS mapping of the hills. It can sense the load truck is pulling up hill. That lets it change the shift points as needed to stay in the correct gear for the hills and load. So it won't keep up shift and down shift trying to pull a hill. Normally it shift at say 1500 RPMs but when pulling a hill it will shift at 1800. Because it knows it if it shift before that it can't pull the next lower gear. I hear lots of Eaton automatic keep shifting gears trying to pull hiils because they are programed to shift at the same point. It can't adjust for the hill or load like people do or the DT-12 transmission can.

I never driven a Volvo ishift but I believe it does the same thing. The engine and transmission need to be able to talk and control each other. Their is a new Eaton transmissions that can do that with Cummins engine. I don't know how it handles hills. It something to look into
