You can't even take a little sarcasm without having a breakdown, and we're the fairies? Define irony, lmfao. Regardless of truck/trailer availability/pricing, I'm not sure you even have the temperament to handle this line of work if you can't even take some light-hearted humor on the Internet.

Right now rates and equipment pricing are both at an all time high. They will both come down eventually. Getting in right now is equivalent to "buying high, selling low". You could still make it just fine in the current climate, but it isn't exactly optimal, because the high rates are offset by inflation and diesel fuel prices, but the equipment is still sky-high, if it's available at all. Certain parts are scarce enough that people are sitting MONTHS without running, just because they can't get their truck fixed.

Speaking of it, I am looking for some beach front property. You have any to spare?

The point that's being made is there is a wealth of information out there, this site included, that can be accessed without having to have a conversation with anyone when it comes to the first steps of figuring out if this is a business you want to get into or not. The forum search function works decently well, there's a section dedicated to all things Owner/Operator including several very informative threads.

The underlying issue here is that one of the things of being a business owner is not relying on other people to hand-feed you much of anything. Not that asking for advice is bad or wrong, but think about the advice you're seeking. If it's something that 30 seconds of effort on a search engine could provide an answer for, it's going to throw into question your ability to be self sufficient.

I have some oceanfront property, as long as you're not opposed to moving to Arizona.

One of the safer ways to break into this without sticking your neck out too far is with a lease purchase. I'm no expert in that department, but there are a couple of people here who are.
