Now that you're a CDL holder--you have to think on a "higher level".

Because you have a CDL--the world will be watching you more closely; society expects more out of you.

As a CDL holder--you now are expected to conduct yourself on a professional level--especially when behind the wheel of ANY motor vehicle (to include any of your own personal vehicles).

Thus--you have to think and act MUCH MORE CAREFULLY--as a CDL holder, to keep your CDL in good standing with commercial motor carriers.

Don't do anything that may force you to later get in the back of a squad car, and/or wear handcuffs...or be summoned for a courtroom appearance.

Thank you both very much for all the help and advice. I will be filling out a lot of applications and hoping for the best. I will definitely be sure to be more careful with everything and anything I do going further. As far as getting my hazmat. That is a goal I have, I will be contacting schools first thing Monday to see about getting that new ELDT required to get my hazmat endorsement.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

I can confirm, truck drivers are expendable again. My boss went from being desperate and hiring me to 5 well experienced new guys in the last 4 weeks laid off or not enough hours at previous employers.

You dont need a "school" for hazmat ELDT, there are plenty of online providers that will meet the requirements. I would verify with your state's DMV that the provider you are looking at is acceptable.

    MSWS and Jchristian467 Thank this.
