Should I do a refresher course, or go through school again?

Ok ive been off the road since 2007(4months exp max). Im going back.ive heard a lot about schneider national & from what they told me,i can do a refresher course of how many ever hrs i need or feel is good enough to pass there driving course.i was happy to hear that i can do how many ever ours i wanted to do before applying with them.well i still called around & landed a convo with stevens transport & they said i will need to take the school over again minus the written part(thank god).i just feel that these big companies are a bunch of bull ####er's & want me to sign a 1 yr contract with them which i don't feel that i want to do so..im a lil confused on what i need to do..a refresher course through my school(2007) is $375.00 for 10hrs or is it best just to go thru the whole school thru a company & don't have to come out of pocket...im just confused on what is best to do
