Most of you know my story: trained on automatics, 3 tries to pass my CDL road test, 3 failures at 3 different companies (2 road test failures, 1 drove all night/unsafe), and finally accident during road test at company #4.
I am waiting for my DAC to see what's on there after all this, so maybe my question will prove wasted...
The problem is, trucking appears to be the only job that has the potential to make decent money. There are plenty of low-wage jobs around, but that won't work for my family and I long term.
My school is looking into 'giving' me a free 40 hour refresher before I try again. I've been out of a truck for at least 2 months, so I wouldn't even bother trying another company without further training.
Opinions?
Should I even bother trying again?

Find another line of work. -
Until I find a job.

Have you thought of looking for a straight truck job.,some I believe pay fairly well, and or dump truck,as construction is almost in full bloom?

Trucking is not what it's cracked up to be.
Majority of the money is gone.
There are many other "career" choices that will suit you better.
Just saying........... -
How long does it take for a DAC to arrive when ordered? -
0 for 4 is not a good average...

The other consideration is the loan. I was able to convince the lender to give me one more month before I start paying $184/month ($6500@18%). If he sends the loan back to the school, they will send the package to the lawyers.
I should have balked at the 18%... -
>>> maybe with more training that could be improved.
Maybe not...Play the odds.... -
