What this dude said. I know if I had a kid I would be doing everything possible to get a local gig. There are a ton of Food/beverage/LTL companies that will hire right out of school. Check out McLane food service most new guys do around 60k the 1st year some even hit 70k. They basically have 2 types of run, Driver driver run where you both hustle all day and usually back within 18-20hrs and do 3 trips a week or a solo run with option of a helper and you go out and deliver until your 14 is up take a reset finish up and go home, you do 2 of those a wk so you can be home 5 nights a wk.
Every company and even at different locations in the same company operate differently but the schedule I posted above is how a lot of the food service is ran
Should i expect 2 days home time as a new driver?
