I admit, I do not know the exact lane details of where this took place. I admit, I do not know why the trucker made the decision to be in the lane he was in. I admit, I do not know why the cars behind him did not move over into the multiple lanes they seem to have available to them.
I have been wrong before as I have two ex-wives. The choice of which lane to drive in is not something that I want to be reviewed by the general public. I have driven in the far left lane for miles. Seeing the Indiana signs that say Trucks with Trailers right lane. I get in the left lane and stay there until I and only I feel it is safe for me to pull into the right lane.
The OP has the right to call and report any driver he choose to. I think by doing so he can cause a great deal of harm for such a "who cares" type of thing. So grandma gets her dentures fitted a wee bit late. Who Cares? We are all in this together. Why try to get someone fired over BS.
And now like the old soldier in the poem, I will just fade away.
Should I expect more from a professional driver?

Old saying ... It is only imperfection that complains of what is imperfect. The more perfect we become as truck drivers, the more gentle and quiet we become towards the defects we find in others ... especially concerning the "small stuff". It implies respect for another person ... not because he is wrong or even because he is right, but because he is human ... and last time I looked, so are we all.
Aminal, Tonythetruckerdude, Northern Lights and 1 other person Thank this. -
That wouldn't happen to be an old Chinese saying would it? (kidding. been on some "old Chinese saying" jag last week or so). You haven't copywritten it have you? I mean I can use it without owing you a royalty can't I? I want to print it on business cards and give one to my trainees (and some experienced drivers) when they start picking other drivers' driving apart. (NOT kidding).
The only thing I might add (big might) is: Perfection is something we strive for with the understanding we will never achieve it. It's a journey; not a destination.Last edited: Feb 5, 2014

Here's a question. In your spare time, when your not on patrol looking for big-rig violators or hanging out at the truckstop taking names, Do you work a full time job? I'm just wondering how you pay for your gas when your on patrol. And are you saving back some money for future repairs on your vehicle. All that running around will wear your vehicle out.....lol
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
I have video of the original poster from a dash cam. You will see what happened and can make up your own mind.
