I don't recall the size. Just know it was HUGE !
When I ask him about it. His response was "Nascar is f##### assume!" -

I have a 24" Sony Bravia. I mounted a piece of 1/2" plywood, carpeted, over the sleeper window. Then I mounted my tv to that. Sets at an angle and I love it. Can see it from any position in the truck.
I wouldn't want a tv bigger than that, though. Just me personally. -
It's pretty much scientifically proven that if you sit too close to the size TV you have part of the action simply disappears into the corners of your eyes and escapes your attention, forcing you to move your eyes frequently, which becomes tiring after a short while. Considering the viewing distances in a sleeper 32 inches is the absolute maximum size you wanna get for your entertainment. My current place is pretty compact and I sit about as close to the TV as in a truck and I wouldn't want to have it much bigger than the 26 inches that I have. 19 inches, like some other guys suggested, would definitely be too small for my taste though.

think about having a plasma tv. if you sit too close. the picture is actually blurry. sit at a distance and it's pretty sharp.
don't know if technology has improved on that though. i bought mine 4 years ago. -
I would def consider going LED. They only weigh a few pounds, they only use 60-80 watts and therefore don't produce much heat. Besides all that they look really good, even from an angle.

I use a 24" Sansui LED TV that I picked up from Walmart for just under $200 on sale. Only weighs 9LBs and draws 34W of power. I can run both the TV and my Xbox off the same 300W inverter.
As for mounting, I'm in a company truck so no drilling holes in stuff. Instead I made a base to use a swiveling wall mount. The mount is rated to hold 45LBs fully extended so 9LBs while folded up and bouncing down the road is nothing.
Here's a pic of the base and wall mount after finishing them at home:
Materials:
4ft of 2x4 board
6ft of 1x2 board
12"x18" piece of Plywood
Several 3" screws
Several 1" screws
2 Eyehooks
1 Wall Mount
To mount it I spent about an hour disassembling the cabinet to get the shelf out of my Cascadia. They are screwed in using 10 screws.
Here's pics showing how it's mounted and the straps wrapped around the base and through the sides then under the shelf. Also shows my inverter plugged into the 12V port in there. I only turn this inverter on when I plan on using the TV/Xbox.
Here's what it looks like from the back corner of the sleeper. I can turn/tilt any way I want.
This is from the drivers seat. I prefer to do this when playing CoD because it's slightly more comfortable than laying in bed.
Here's what it looks like when stored and driving. The towel keeps the screen clean from dust and protects the back of the TV from rubbing on the cabinet behind it when hitting bumps.
Bungie wraps around the back and hooks to the two eyehooks on the top of the mount.
The mount is held together with just the screws. It's plenty solid to hold the 15lbs of TV and mount hanging off the front of it.Newtrucker83 Thanks this. -
led stands for light emitting diode.
lcd's is what they called. liquid crystal displays.

If it is a plasma TV, then it will throw out some serious heat. The LCD's use very little power compared to a plasma.
