Should i get a Hazmat / Tanker endorsement on my CDL ?

In New York, Hazmat is renewed every five years with a written test ($5), another background check and retaking of your fingerprints ($147.50) and of course, mailing yet another form, HAZ-44, up to Albany, NY.

 

I just took the endorsement tests for tanekr and doubles/triples, they were pretty easy ,common sense questions. the practice tests on this site and the book from the dmv prepared me just fine. my hazmat fingerprints took like 5 minutes ,cost $86.50. all of the ltl places i've called want you to have doubles/triples and hazmat before they will even consider you to drive for them
