    And to top it off, the officer made you drive illegally. Log book and drivers license are required to be in your posession while operating a truck. Even if it is just to go to a parking lot.

    It may show on his Criminal Record same as seatbelt tickets do since it's not a moving violation. I would call up DOT and just ask

    I'm learning a lot about other states on this one, Seatbelt tickets on a Criminal Record? WTF? I'm gonna have to start a database on places to never go.

    yeah it has to fall somewhere and it isn't a moving violation that costs any points so if falls on the CR

    In Texas, they DO issue points for a seatbelt ticket...and I wouldn't be surprised if there are others, too.

    In Arizona driving a CMV without a seat belt is a criminal violation. You have to appear in court and you need a lawyer. The ticket is only $385, but you going to loose a lot, if you have a criminal record. You do need a Lawyer to make a deal and clean your record.

    Wow things are getting tough out there sounds like revenue raising to me i mean why not just give you a notice to fix it? Things happen to trucks and Trailers in transit and the police should be a bit more understanding on the matter. Unless there's more to this story than your letting on?
