Go for it! Looks like you will have to get a "Skill Performance Evaluation (SPE) Certificate". But otherwise your good to go.
I can't imagine you haven't seen this but just in case: http://askthetrucker.com/can-an-amputee-have-a-cdl/pattyj, willie757 and Straight Stacks Thank this. -

I'd go for it...why spend the rest of your life with could of, should of, what if I'd done this, or that. You only have one life, live it like there is no tomorrow. You can't change your past, but you can your future.
bottomdumpin and willie757 Thank this. -
Do it...some people out here don't have a brain and they got their CDL...best of luck to ya willie.

2009, I was standing inside a truckstop, in line at the fuel desk. There was a driver at the front of the line that was an owner operator for Swift, drove a white KW W900. He had 2 hook hands. He bought some stuff, grabbed his groceries, walked back outside, unlocked the door, got inside, and shifted gears.
I'd wager that every single day, that driver would have to prove that he could do the job. Hats off to you guys that choose to overcome physical adversities in order to live your dream. You have my respect.
