Should I get my Class A CDL at 18 years old or wait until I am 21 years old?

Wish I had my CDL when I was 18, no kids and no entanglements with the law, or women. Do it now and have a nest egg saved up before you mess with those hoes.
MidWest_MacDaddy, Lepton1 and CargoWahgo Thank this. -
There are literally 100s of local jobs for a 18 year old with a CDL. Crane and excavating companies are big ones, they can't get enough drivers right now. The deal is you also have to help with the crane after you carry the boom or counterweight to the job or do construction work. Holding a CDL is a guaranteed ticket for almost any construction related job because in addition to doing construction work, you can also drive the truck when needed.
We are in the machinery moving business and can never find enough operators and riggers that hold CDLs. Truck drivers don't want to do anything but drive and operators and riggers don't want to drive.Lepton1 Thanks this. -

I sent them a email and told me they only hire at 21. Maybe I should ask about there local position

Ask about the local position and if they can use you as a driver helper.
