Windsmith... you skipped the training route, so here's a bit of advice. Go somewhere and take a Smith System course, it's a one day deal on defensive driving. It will make you a better driver, and in the future if you decide to go independent will help on your insurance rates.

If you did a hard brake, you overreacted - worst case would be having the trailer jacknife on you causing an accident. Slowing down enough to provide the four-wheelers some room to play their games would have been a good move. If they had decided to rearrange their metal (courtesy of "crash") they certainly could have impacted you. Avoiding the accident by driving more conservatively is how I'd approach those kinds of situations.

Your lane was not being pinched off. The far right was. You panicked at something outside of your lane of travel that was happening.

If you watch you lane markers, they stay standard size and space. The lane to your immediate right is not merging.

The FAR RIGHT had short and more closely spaced lines indicating it goes away.

Something a TRAINER SHOULD have taught you.

It's a good idea to slow a bit and to be more cautious when approaching merging traffic. Especially when there's a lot of traffic.

you maintaned your lane, there was nothing else you could do. If an accident had occured, and you were involved you would be in the clear. they were the ones not paying attention. tunnel vision usually occurs, when you have 'zoned out' or when you have been driving for a long peroid of time, usually 10 to 18 as an example

there most likely were signs indicating the far right lane was going to end. you should have been going a bit slower and anticipating things. you braking hard as you say, you were caught off guard.

    that should have never happened.

to say that a car "suddenly move" shows your lack of experience. you should ALWAYS KNOW that 4 wheelers and "moving rental trucks" like Ryder and Penske, U-Haul, have drivers that are idiots.

YOU NEED to anticipate things, which you simply did not do.

you a re wrong. as a truck driver, he is supposed to be the professional. if his camera was found in his truck at the time of the accident, or if he used it as proof, he may have been nailed. he had time to do something, which in the first place, would have been to pay BETTER ATTENTION.

you say "im wrong" like you are stating a fact₯ which you are not. Its easy to watch a video and take your "time" to develop a smart ### comment. he maintained and did cause an acident, he could have over reacted and caused an accident, all of these "comments and opinions" are just that! noThing is fact, none of us were actually there.

since you got to "watch" a video and take your time to develop an "opinion" not a fact. Its easy to make a one sided statement about what happened. none of us were there ( that means you also) so to say that i am wrong and that he is unprofessinal, so please by all means give us all your "professinal" knowledge! so we can all be as cautious and professional as you.
