There's a local truck driving job for which I'm planning on applying for. The only problem is that I have 2 points on my license from a speeding ticket I got 2 years ago. The ticket expires on June 17th, but I'm wondering if I should go ahead and apply anyway. I realize it's only 2 points, but I don't want it to hurt my chances of getting the job. I also don't want to wait too long and let this opportunity pass me by. What do you guys think? Has anyone else applied for a driving job under similar circumstances?

Also disregard the typo in the title. I meant to say "hold off" :)

How much experience you have? If no experience, I would wait.

Of course you should apply. The worse thing they can do is say no.
Most companies are worried about major moving violations like
    speeding 15+mph over speed limit.
No more than 1 DUI in lifetime....and at least 5yrs old.
    No Felonies.
