    wag? tandems are trailer duals,only?

new guys and their terms are making me feel old. lol. (been out here 30+ yrs)

king pin 1 hole forward of middle of drive tandems and leave it forever.

your weight is near perfect, if you have full tanks.

other wise could be a pain.

No, "perfect" weight distribution would have 800# more on his steer when his drives are 33,720, so that when his drives reach the 34K limit, his steers are at 12K. Once he finds where the 5th wheel needs to be to accomplish that, he shouldn't have to mess with it again unless hooked to a different trailer and experiencing clearance issues at the rear of the tractor.

I was working off his original numbers.
No mention of fuel level, cab clearance, etc.
I took it as he was asking if it were good to run.

    But yes.....you are right

Slight bias to the trailer axles is better for lowering rolling resistance and improving MPG.
Where you have it set looks good to me!

What does this statement even mean??

You'll forgive me in advance, I'm 4 drinks deep at the airport with a surgically repaired Achilles waiting for my flight home. This statement sounds "retarded" to me.

I read that as meaning he likes his truck slightly tail heavy.

It's legal, why do you even care? Oh, wait, better spend an hour farting around with the 5th wheel so...no, I can't think of any reason. Has no one have any common sense anymore?

    God help us all.
