I've had loads like that before. Once picked up a load of dunnage, idiot kid loaded all the cardboard pieces in the front, and triple stacked all the pallets of plywood on the tail.

I picked up a load in New Orleans; coffee and sugar. They put the coffee in front and sugar in rear. Was 5000 lbs. over on the tandems. As soon as the last pallet was loaded they handed me the paperwork, then went home for the weekend.
I dodged the scales all the way to Nashville,TN.

Moving the fifth wheel won't move weight off trailer. Basically the fifth wheel moves weight to and from the steers.

Each trailer slide hole moves 220lbs. Each fifth wheel slot moves 110lbs.

You all missed the real issue here.

12020. You are over on your steer axle. Oh God!

This is the "general consensus"? Says who? I would like to see the scientific method that was used to insure these numbers work for every situation. You really need to make it known these are only very rough rules-of-thumb numbers, at best and assume all pallet footprints weigh the same, and all are distributed properly front to back. It's not right to post this information on a forum full of new drivers, in such as way as to make it sound as thought it's carved in stone and irrefutable and guaranteed to work in every situation.

Mixed loads are the problem. If we could assume all loads were consistent, front to back, in terms of product density and loading pattern, fine, we can set such numbers, but until then, making this assumption will get you in trouble on some loads.
