Jan 28th ? Today is Feb 11th. so barely 2 weeks "out there". There's a lot to learn in trucking. Stick with it awhile longer.
Should I quit and move on, or should I not?

Its stories like these that will always give the megas a place in the industry. The owners are concerned about getting that money. At least some megas won't turn you out till you're ready

If you and your (trainer) went into a truck insp. there may not be any sign of you working with that co.?
-
If I am reading your situation correctly you hired on with a trucking company and they put you to train with an owner operator that has contracted with them, then you are being abused by someone that is not even an employee of that company.
Suppose this guy hits you or if you are a woman he rapes you. The company headquarters is in Arkansas, but they are incorporated in Illinois, and the attack took place in Wyoming. The odds are against you getting any kind of legal system justice. The company will deny liability since he is not their employee.
If you fight back and injure him you go to jail for assault, if he dies the charge against you will be murder. You are playing against a stacked deck. If you can afford to jump ship, do so at the first opportunity. The guy sounds like an abusive bully.

Where did you get your law degree, bubblegum University or truck stop U? If a woman is raped by her trainer in Wyoming she files the complaint there in that state. The company location at this point has nothing to do with it. Later after a rape kit is used and if any evidence is uncovered said trainer will be arrested and tried in criminal court. Anything, after this is will be in civil court.
Then what I really laughed at was how you said she can find no justice for Rape, but the trainer will if she fights back and harms him. Go back and reread what you wrote.
Now I am sorry that my comment to you was hard. I know it was. However, you have got to stop being negative with these inexperienced people asking questions. Cynical and negative, cynical and negative is all some people seem to be able to do. As you stated the decks are stacked against today's drivers. However, being constantly negative and cynical doesn't help!x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Put that job down on your application. All Prime will do is confirm with them that you worked the dates you listed. You will have a drug test related to the current job and they will need to know the results.
Again..list that job.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Reporting a rape is not as easy as you make it out to be:

A very minor tidbit for you.
Rape is one of several lawful situations for me to draw and end it against the rapist by concealed carry here in Arkansas. If I am the one being raped (Male or female) then I will draw and put two in the head and 4 in the chest with prejudice. This is just a example of what is possible. The only other situation in which Arkansas will support a offensive attack with gun or weapon etc is firebombing of one's home by bad guys invading your land. You can totally take them out.
However, if this did happen, you will need a lawyer and a bunch of money. This will be a drag out fight first in criminal court if you are indicted by the DA who reviews your actions and then again in civil court by the kin of the bad guys.
Just a little tidbit.
I have to be very very careful when traveling around the USA. Maryland for example frowns really heavily on blades. We are a free blade state here, you can carry a Arkansas Toothpick holstered on your belt and no one cares. But Maryland on the other hand I think has a 3 inch limit. So... many states, many laws. Some states dont have any blessed laws at all.
We started off with 10 commandments and evolved into a 4 inch thick federal register and walls of shelving full of lawyerises books. It's disgusting.silverspur Thanks this. -
By the laws of the country, his lease makes him an extension of the company, he represents the company as any employee within limits.
You can check that through your lexis account.
WRONG
First if there is an assault or rape that happens, the local Wyoming jurisdiction trumps Arkansas, Illinois. The criminal act took place there, so that means Wyoming will prosecute the person on criminal charges, and this is how the system always worked. However for the civil case, federal court comes into play, so the person can sue in federal court against the company, which is what I would do.
Again WRONG
If you are defending yourself, then there is a chance that you won't be charged, but it all depends on what defending yourself means by the circumstances.
Agreed.
My advice is simple, quit, don't let anyone yell at you.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Reporting a rape is as easy as getting to a cop and reporting you have been raped. If you wait 2 or 3 weeks, of course, it's going to be hard because there is no forensic evidence left. I am not going to give out any detail but I am aware of 4 rape cases where trainers raped and one of them was a case of a trainer being raped. ALL 4 men are in prison today.x1Heavy Thanks this.
