I’ve only been driving for 2 years. I learned to drive a manual while I was in school it was a 10 speed. I went company for 2 years and the trucks were automatics. I’m an owner operator now I’m thinking about getting a peterbilt. Is it a good idea to go back to manual or should I stick to automatic?
Should I stick to automatic or go to manual?

Manuals are for men. Automatics are for manginas. I’d take a split shift 12 speed any day of the week.

Manual is ok for specific types of trucking, but for long haul automatic is best. Also, automatic gets better fuel mileage.

If nothing else, learn to drive on a manual, to AVOID having a restriction on one's CDL. This way, if one is driving an automatic, one can go back to driving a manual, if need be.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.
Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.
