I gotta be honest. In good times, I would say no. But in these economics times, I would take whatever I can get.

Before you accept, give Maverick a call and see what kind of wait you would have. If they shut you down then take the Melton offer. Roehl also has a flatbed division and is pretty good.

Trucking with any company is all about what you make of it. One person will tell you Melton is the greatest company going, and the next will tell you horror stories.

If they'll pay you what you think you're worth and get you home when you want to be there, then that is about all you can realistically expect from any company. Anything else is just "icing on the cake".

If you want to pull skateboards, you could do worse. Just look at what they have to offer you and weigh it out. Pay, hometime, miles ect. Goof Luck and keep us posted. I was at one time thinking about them but can't drive that slow.lol...

I turned them down today simply due to the fact that their recruiter told me they were only averaging 1800 miles a week
other than that they seemed like a good company, the milage pay is fair, trucks are decent and it seems like a decent company, I just can't abide sitting still when I am not at home
