Currently i run shuttles for A grocery distributer and make $940 a week Sat and Tues off running nights and working only 6-8 hrs a night depends on traffic which is a sweet deal. Swift offered .47 a mile and average of $1100 to $1400 a week, with a new car note that sounds like a great pay raise, but working the full 11 hr clock and 34 hr rest as my time off doesnt sound promising. Swift claims ill be home daily and some drop and hook and some DC to store loads. Im so confused, i dont wanna chase a dollar that may be a classic Swift lie ive been told of. But dont wanna miss out as many truck stop drivers say they love swift new pay and home time which is what im looking for. Please help with any knowledge or advice on Temple, TX Swift dedicated.

    Its difficult to work a full 11.. a full 14 isn't.

What have you got to lose ?

Get it in writing. Promises are only as good as a reach around.

Thanks, ill be sure to do that. Orientation is Monday, i havnt quit yet but after reading some post from 2014 looks like most drivers were off m-f which would kill my family time of Sat off which i have now. But swift recruiter said it is some weekends off. So ill take your advice and ask for two weekends a month off in writting!

So, you're hooking a set of empty doubles, dropping them. Grabbing a loaded set and a bunch of BOLs and going back home, correct? Gravy. If I were you, I'd stay put. You're surrounded by green grass.

I don't know if you'll get 1200 how ever 1100 to 1400 is better than 940.. Sometimes one has to work more to make more and sometimes one doesn't.. Perhaps a swift Walmart dedicated will pop up shortly..

I agree with Six. All you are really gonna see is a bigger tax bite out of the old income for more work and less family time. You've got a gravy gig! Stick with it.

I've tried Walmart dedicated here with Swift at 3 DCs. Its good work, fast paced, good pay. I just like going around the country still. Do it!
