Thank you so much for asking. It went good. It was hard to stay awake during the videos but I did it. Hopefully tonight will be better as I had about 8 hours of sleep. Everyone was very nice last night and I met the drivers trainers.
Good luck. It's a long process, but worth it IMO. I'm almost on the finish line. I'm with coach doing city P/D this week. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.
I am just afraid of failing out of the class. I am the only apprentice in the class ; the rest are part time dock workers. Its actually good I think. Week one done, and in the books. Good luck with the rest. Keep me updated please.
You'll be fine. I've heard how good the training program is. Soak it all in. There is a lot to learn about driving a big truck, but it's not that hard. I can tell by your comments that you have a brain. That's more than we can say for a lot of the drivers on the road today. I'm very happy with FXF so far and I love the fact that they train drivers!
Don't worry about part timers, I was also the only driver apprentice when I started. Make sure you listen to your DDI and don't goof around. Stay calm and don't hurry when backing, use pull ups when need it. I have finished my week with city coach on Friday and now waiting to go to Harrisburg so I can officially become a city driver. For now I'm going back to grave yard shift starting tomorrow midnight. Oh btw pups and dollies turn quickly so be easy with the steering wheel
Good luck and congrats for getting thru it. Hopefully I will be in Harrisburg in a few weeks. So far I am liking it and hoping to be forklift certified tonight!!
Thank you. I love the training they give ; yeah, its only been a week or so, but everyone is so nice and the main point I am getting is to ask questions
