I was having lot of problems with the DEF system. Replace a bunch of sensor then one day I got mad and. Had it DEL.. the issue was oil consumption build lots of soot clogging the filters. Now after a year of. Use it still consuming oil after 8k miles it get to 1.5 gallons every 1500 miles. 560k miles on the rig.
I was thinking buying a new truck. A selling this one but prices are stupid right now. So I’m thinking of getting the inframe and re activate the DEF getting a new filter.
I run to Cal-Tex route (yes and we love going there cuz I spent my weekend home and make a very nice paycheck)
they about to go very strict on DEL next year. So what you O.O think own my situation .
I own a 2016 prostar with isx15 (no issues)
And a 2015 prostar with isx15 DEl
Should I un delete my rig?

Sell privately? I'm sure someone will buy it despite the missing parts.
Roger McG, Mike250rs, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well on this market I’ll have no problem selling it. It just I’m not paying 134k for a 400k rig

Un deleting is not cheap at all.
Def tank flush, new pump.
New doc dpf and scr.
May need a turbo.
Aftertreatment wiring may have rubbed out
2 nox sensors.
Then try it and keep fixing til all the check engine lights are fixed.
Probably 15g minimum if not more.
Couple I have done are a pain in the ###OLDSKOOLERnWV, Cat sdp, black_dog106 and 7 others Thank this. -
So basically all DPF component are toast for a year of no use ? My was working fine when I got it deleted. Just filter were clogging I had new dozer, new nox . But I’m not sure if I want to buy a rig right now with current market

LoL 15k......mine only needed the SCR, DPF filter, all sensors, injector, decomp tube and doser from that list. Pete wanted $36,000 and said it could go as high as $50,000......on a truck i paid 70k for.OLDSKOOLERnWV and pushbroom Thank this.

Yeah, filters will need replaced, def tank may need cleaned. The rest of the stuff is still there and operating like normal. No big issues. Program to factory specs and go. Definitely not 15k. I'd figure 1.5-3k. Aftermarket filters have become quite reasonable.

That was my thought as I have heard just the opposite from my reading on CARB regulations in the coming year.
