Let me pre-empt this by saying I am not an Obama supporter. He did not blame Obama, he stated the Obama administration. The Obama administration that hurt us includes Ferro, the guy Foxx replaced (his name now eludes me) and the just as corrupt EPA.

You can not be 'on duty' status indefinately. For 1 if you hit your 70 you would need to be shut down until you pick up hours. Yes it is true you can be 'on duty' past your 14 hours as long as you don't go up to the driving line after that 14 until a 10 or 8/2 split is taken.

If he did not intend to blame President Obama, the generic term Government" could have, and should have been used.

    But it was not.

I’m am NOT a truck driver, and somewhat new around here. I have been researching the truck driver profession, as a possible late in life career change for my wife an I, if and when our current jobs end.
I read 1000s of posts, over the last few years. I can’t count the times I have seen a post about some negative aspect of trucking and how drivers end up getting pushed farther down.
Here a person posts an issue, proposes one solution idea, and asks for input. Many if not most of the replies are negative, non constructive, and borderline rude, or reply-post bickering.
As an outsider I can see a lot clearer how the truck freight industry got where it is today.

If you think it's bad here wait till you get to your first TA on Friday before Labor Day (or any other major holiday). You'll see nasty and you'll see rude in the flesh. You get use to it.

    Still want in?

You're seriously going to try to argue semantics? He should have said Frosted Flakes instead of Sugar Flakes too. Hindsight is 20/20 and there is always a woulda, coulda, shoulda

His issue was about hitting his 14. We've all been there too often.

    Read it again:

and then retry your semantics argument. Or don't. I am quite clear of "the meaning of the language used".

Your clear of the meaning because you can "hear" inflection through the screen and see "hidden meanings"? Take it for what it is or isn't.
