I'm a new o/o and the company I'm leased to takes a percentage of the rate but it appears that they include the FSC in the rate and not as a separate thing. Is this the norm?
Example: the rate is 1500 and the FSC is 330. Instead of taking their 15% from 1500 they take it from 1830.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Should the company you're leased to get a cut of the FSC?

Who's paying for the fuel?
-
I pay for the fuel
-
By law they cant do that but with loopholes they can and do all the time
-
But morally, they should not. -
I thought something was wrong with that picture, but I just had to double check.
Thanks for the responses so far. -
You can call OOIDA and they can tell you for sure good luck
-
I have no interest in calling that organization.
I can look it up myself if I want to.
I quit them after a year when I received 8 pieces of mail during the year and 6 were for renewal notices. -
Yea i dont use them but thought it might help him out

Mo,
Any honest person would not be able to sleep with themselves at night taking part of the FSC. Our broker never touches our FSC. His percentage is figured on the gross of the loads, and then the FSC is added into the total. Unless your company wants to share in the cost of the fuel, then they should not touch your FSC. Period.
