Should Truckstops Charge For Parking?

Why was the other thread locked and why will this one get locked also?

 

cause it always turns into a free for all, where it seems have a few reserved spots for pay at a t/a or petro is going to cause civilization as we know it to collapse. and some people have an extra 11 dollars and some people don't. that's the main 2 reasons.

to me it like ordering off the menu burgers are cheaper than steaks, some folks can only order burgers and some can order steaks, I don't feel they should both be the same price, some people do.

 

I use the reserve it parking at TA/Petro all of the time. It's nice in a area where there isn't a lot of parking to call in the morning and reserve a spot. That's one less thing you have to think about all day.

 

I really dont like being charged too park but most places are alot easyier too get out of and you dont have to wake other drivers up that are blocking you in

 

loitering on a dot break? are you even a trucker?

 

The trucking industry keeps them in business, they need to give something back.

 

They do, most of the TA and Petros are 90% or more free parking.

Giving back, where does it say you're entitled to a parking space? Maybe these truck stops should charge for all parking spaces and then charge for cleaning the parking spaces when drivers pee and throw their trash everywhere. Maybe they should charge for the toilet paper you use the soap and paper towels too.....
