Should we be able to use cannabis on our time off?

You might want to go back and read my posts on this subject. You seem to be responding to me when you should be weighing what this particular post is saying about those in support and thier overconfidence in very limited studies and our governments ability or lack of to use, compare and act on that limited knowledge accordingly as well as my contemp for those who attempt to use something as stupid as insulting (or attempting to) someone for not accepting change based on acceptance of others (advancements? social change or acceptance who cares).


By the way I see clearly the bad effects of poor choices of the people in those places and others.

 

So on one hand you are saying that you lack confidence in some of the data and on the other hand you are aware of the poor choices people make. My point is the gap between those two. This is the choice or freedom if you will that people use to justify said action. Most every drunk feels they are driving great and that everyone else is the problem. This thread was created to debate if Cannabis should be used by CDL holders during the time off the clock. My point over and over is that people have proven beyond any doubt that enough of us cannot handle making said decision. There is no scientific study showing real benefits by increasing the use of Cannabis by CDL holders off the clock and there is a ton of data showing that among CDL holders today a number of them are causing accidents by doing things they know they should not but still do. Why would we want to increase the accident/death rate even more...

No my question is why are you preaching to me? My post didn’t quote you or question in anyway what your saying or how your saying it so I was not sure of why you were quoting me.
To be clear here I Do Not support the use of it on or off duty as I know from experiance it’s effects last longer than any of these folks are willing to admit to.

 

I dont CARE what your opinion is about drug use. I think there are maybe 4 people on this entire board that may actually be in favor of it....

What I (personally) CARE about is your total lack of understanding of the constitution is, what it means and its rights to EVERY American citizen.

Oops thought your response was to me, that’s what I get for attempting to read while bouncing around in the passenger seat!
But the bugs bunny part just made me think about my sons old friend still getting high and watching cartoons in his late 30’s and early 40’s. Not sure what that bum is doing since his arrest for a meth lab. My guess is still in jail!

Then we should adapt a methodology to screen out the he ones without said self control. Because otherwise, and you're affirming, were letting them in! Your theoretical approach just depends on marijuana use in the offtime as an indicator to point to green out. Those of us who can have a beer and go to work Monday morning without having one for breakfast surely must carry a certain savoir faire that benefits the community.
