OP...I have no dog in the fight...but if I were threatened and scolded by a mod and called this and that I would just head over to the political forum and never return to this regular forum again.
Wow.
Should we be able to use cannabis on our time off?

He might like it there. Just in case he's interested the pass word is thickskin. That whole forum is full of people who like to argue. Most of them would rather argue than think.GreenPete359, The Green Mountain, buzzarddriver and 1 other person Thank this. -
Whatever.
Anyway...OP....I know a guy who does one giant bong hit per month and has never ever tested over the 50ng per ml.
He is former military.....super squared away....super hard working...great family guy.
But according to some in here (and probably the same age as my friend) he is a loser and loose cannon! LMAO!!
I like my Vodka shots in the 3 or so times I MAY hit a bar with old friends.... in a year! That is enough for me.
Carry on. I'm outta here.
I think this is the very first pot thread I have ever commented on and it had more to do with some comments than it did with the topic. Oh well!

Alcohol, legally you can. Company policy may vary and you could get fired if caught. I get wanting a beer after a long days work. Ive sat in my cab on my 10 with a couple of beers. As long as your not drunk in the morning when you hit the road, all good. Just keep in mind that depending on the state you are in, sitting in the front seat while drinking and/or with keys in the ignition can get you arrested for OUI/DWI. Regardless that the truck was parked on private property and you are off duty. Something to think about.
As far as cannabis goes, it's illegal to have on the truck. You are governed under federal DOT regulations. While legal in some states, others are not. Also crossing state lines can lead up to different charges to include trafficking. Some states have laws where it is legal to have as long as you buy and use in that state, but cant bring it from another state. The laws per state will vary. However, you cant have it on your truck.bzinger Thanks this. -

With current and not so distant (tomorrow?) Technology, Cameras will be "looking" at Drivers before they have even opened the unfettered door to the cab as well other detecting systems around Combo.
Cameras inside Truck Cabs can read body heat, pulse, B. P., and other Human performance characteristics and "decide" if Driver will drive.
No more of the "well I only had 3 hours sleep but I need to be 730 miles west before midnight" and it's 07:00.
A little Cannabis either smoked or chewed would be the detriment to load safety, or at all, delivered.
A. I. then secures vehicle from motorized movement.
Enjoy Cannabis all ya want.

Oh my god you’re not the only one that’s noticed the complaints about e log rules, hos rules, sleep mask rules. But with drugs that same bunch be like … RULES,LAWS,DOT,OBEY! OBEY! OBEY!Phoenix Heavy Haul, Tb0n3, Gearjammin' Penguin and 1 other person Thank this.

As a libertarian , I have always had this weird fantasy about a society where it was perfectly legal to drink and do drugs all day long long but the populous was so happy and well adjusted that they chose not to.
Northern Nomad, Gearjammin' Penguin and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Good for you, it sucks people can’t take personal responsibility for their actions. It’s always someone else’s fault. Absolutely after 33 years of driving and owning trucks would I tolerate and use of drugs and alcohol. Just no room for it in any safety sensitive industries.wis bang Thanks this.
