    After having been in a 3 month long Fiasco with a ELD manufacturer I figure I'm about $5,000 in the hole with this project. Should we be paid for our time when self certified units don't work?

    I agree with the sentiment. But this is what the court system is for. Initiate a suit against the name behind the system you're having problems with .... before they disappear.
