There is still going to be a need for workers to service those machines when they take over so find out the companies that will be doing that and nose your way in.
Should we be worried about robot trucks taking jobs in the next decade?

I refuse such work. IF I recall the interns minding the servers supporting say a local cable tv system that must at any price stay up 110% No downtime permitted or tolerated.
That kind of stress is not for me.
When I take a big rig and set to drive, I feel as if I am on my old Filly Cozo for a ride a while She knows whats going to happen and shows some spirit after a feed and watering rested and ready to go. (Mountain quarter horse)
Ive learned horses in my time but Cozo back then was the one I compare all horses to. All you have to do is either get a emotion that you need to do this or that she is all over you and doing it. barely a touch or a word sometimes.
I try to mind a semi the same way, it does what I think it should do without any effort or excessive stress. And when it's time to I admire the sunrise and sunsets praising God for the tomorrows we have.
It's just job? HA. more power to you, but live. Life is too short to toss on just a job.Charlie Best Thanks this. -

The original Terminator was so visionary based on what we have now versus what we didn't then.

Are you nuts? in most major airports autonomous train run between terminals without any driver. I have been in Taiwan, thier subway have few lines with like 15 stops, without any driver in it.
And it's been already few topics about robot trucks, I will say the same by 2025 OTR guys can kiss thier jobs goodbye. Period.x1Heavy and Charlie Best Thank this. -
Lol 6 years otr will be gone? We better get u a drug test. Ok they have made a bunch of trains in airports that carry people with 15 stops . great for them . they still have not made a robot freight train . nor a robot car. And yet you are saying in 6 years otr will be gone LOLSirscrapntruckalot, bzinger, Charlie Best and 1 other person Thank this.
