I’m no fan of that useless nanny ####.
But I am a fan of far higher CDL entry standards. Harsh penalties for aggressive driving, as in permanent CDL revoking. And yes, getting drug/alcohol abusers off the road as well.
If we raised the bar overall, fleets would be less inclined to have that #### nanny crap in the trucks.

Fleets are why that stupid crap exists to begin with, there's nothing they're going to do to go the other way.
I'm not a big fan of needing to ask governments permission to drive the truck I own, and that's what a CDL is, hell I don't like having to have a license to drive anything I own. I certainly don't think they should be able to ban me from driving it because somebody doesn't like the way I drive it. Quite honestly I don't think there should be any citations or testing done unless you've injured or killed someone. No victim means no crime, and yes that includes driving absolutely schnokered out of your mind. If you want to regulate something, how about pouring your pee bottle onto pavement is automatic CDL revocation, on the spot.

Think if they want to do it for transport, then they should do it for all. I'm not so keen for my children to be taught buy stoned teachers. Or the doctor, pharmacist, lawyer, paramedic, electrician, concretor, or political to have a habit at work. One in all in, or leave it alone.
Or if they must pick on heavy transport, it has to be for all road uses.
A year or so ago we had 34yo decide to drive down the wrong side of a motorway late at night off his face on ice. He drove head onto a car killing a mum, dad, and their 2yo. A family erased in a blink of an eye. Druggie died as well. If they want to watch trucks, than they watch all road users. Yes but get rid of the Mary J on the tests. It legal in too many places now and no different,.not even as bad as having a few beers on off time. Maybe do a test similar to alcohol for marijuana to make sure you are not under the influence while driving.

There isn't a current intoxication test for thc. The best we have is "a few hours ago some was taken."
Once we have a thc intoxication test around the reliability of a BAC test, or even the less reliable breathalyzer test we will see federal laws change in this regard I'm thinking.smokey12 Thanks this. -
i believe that if "Mary J is removed" from the drugs list, then we will have nearly 100% stoned truckers on the roads 100% of the time.

I would prefer a fully anarchist society, but since we arent going to get there, and are going to have brutal senseless rules, i want those things pointed at MY pet peeves...
Seems reasonable, bottle poured on asphalt is complete revocation of all driving privleges for 20 years, if found driving without a license following this type of license loss, immediate death penalty, no sense in booking, just have the arresting officer do the honorsrch10007 Thanks this.
