I average a grand a week as a company driver. It's not that hard to do.

The truck is now paid off, before the payments were $1,600 per month.

If i were to get intoit now I'd find an older Freightliner with a pre emission Detroit that will get good fuel mpg and stay out of the shop.

Ive had this same conversation with a buddy about how this is the only line of work where you can invest maybe $10 to $15K and get a $3K per week paycheck....return on investment is paid off in less than 3 months.

    Its not rocket science.

I'm getting enough deducted for my tax situation. I'm not one of these morons that celebrate when they get a $5000 tax refund in April. Those people aren't smart enough to know that they are giving the government an interest free loan. I want that money each week in MY paycheck to manage how I see fit.

Your spliting hairs if you want to get down to deductions and taxes. The 1k net includes some money for stock purchace, which I am sure that would make up for taxes that where not taken out.
Anyway, that check is impressive. I wish it was mine.

I bring home $1100-1400 a week after taxes with a 4% 401k contribution. I work for a fuel company so if you have a clean record and are not a careless person it can happen.

Right? I never understood people getting excited over a tax refund. They just don't realize your point. Interest free loan!

Once you get time under your belt in the ltl world you'll be asking the sexy payroll lady to put some pay toward the next weeks pay to avoid the rich man bracket.

Car haulers make a ridiculous amount of money, then again I see how they have to drive and they earn every penny of that.
