I keep hearing about having to wait in shower lines, and actually its nice to hear that the stereotype of the unbathed trucker doesn't apply to the majority if there are these long lines.
My questions:
Do you usually shower at the beginning of the day or the end?
Any times that seem to be better than others for avoiding the lines?

If I have my day planned out, and know for sure when and where I will be stopping, I generally wait until the afternoon/evening, when I stop for my break.
If the rest of the day is unclear and I don't know how the day is going to go, I will shower before I leave to do anything. Then, at the end of the day, I usually end up showering again.
I generally shower at Flying J's, and at a couple smaller truck stops that I regularly use for topping off the reefer tank. Most times, I have no wait at all, and never wait very long at all. I pretty much travel the same area every week though, which makes it easy to know which truck stops to stop at, and which ones to avoid. -
Personally speaking, as a wife, it's not a matter of WHEN you shower, it's just THAT you shower.........ha!ha!..........you all know we love ya!!

I love flying J just for this reason. Lots of them give you a number that a computer voice calls off when they are ready. Almost like no waiting.IMOP

No standing in line at the flying j is the best. And those early morning drink credits. I just wish their restaurant would come down a little.
