Just curious - how far did it have to be moved forward?

I haven't been down there in years but I still remember that. Glad you got it straightened out.

blind driver , next time just load em against the step? and as someone said , you are straight up for posting this, you may have saved someone else the trouble. its a story you can tell forever at the counter, only say ya saw it happen to another driver , and the federal marshall came out and made him move them forward and then shut the scalehouse down afterwards for messing with ya to begin with.

Looking at the Petro scale ticket, that I have for posterity, I probably could have moved them against the step.

    Oh, well :biggrin_25523:

At least you got them figured out.

I always load up against the step. i have yet to haul anything that puts my drives over axle with it all the way forward. Even with steel plates I have had them butted up to the step at 45k (10' sheets) and i was only 33,800 on my drives. but I also have a pretty long WB

Glad to see you got it straightened out the proper way. Mercer and that agent helped you out on the bill because this is a standup company.

That trailer he is pulling is probably a 51' or 53' and carries 8000-9000 on the spread empty.
