The brackets on my are slotted. Has to be loose where the brackets that hold the farings join to the frame.

Well, that makes sense. Just to clarify are you saying there adjustable? I mean if the brackets were loose I would think I would feel the looseness when pulling on it but it's tight no jiggle at all.

Looks like it definitely slid down. You need to look underneath at the brackets. Pull the big one off with the disconnects by the battery box.

You should be able to see them.

Those rails that the fairings mount to get rusty and weak , had all new ones put on last year and while under there found a broken tank strap that had rusted thru and the other 3 were not far behind it .

Asthey get older those brackets bend easier. More so if you're a little heavy. LOL

I don't think im heavy. Only around 200, but that doesn't mean the guys that had it before me weren't. Seems like they would bend where the steps are and not evenly like it looks like it did.

Yeah I'd definitely check it out ...mine is a 2013.
One rusted in half at the top of the tank and the other 3 were so bad a ball point pen could be poked thru them in the center of the strap on top .

    joseph1853 Thanks this.
