I like the big sleeper windows on my 1999 KW T600 (sleeper doors, too). Especially the passenger side. I leave the curtain rolled up and the view helps with tight turns, and backing into tight spots from the blind side. I would always like to at least have a passenger side sleeper window. I think the newer KW's have screen now to open the windows.

So I was in Death Valley in a Volvo without side windows. Almost all of them have the big front window at the top of the sleeper. With the front and rear ac on it was having a hard time keeping up. That was with me laying in the top bunk for an afternoon nap. I would like to not do that again. I really don't have a preference on window vs door. I usually keep the covers over the windows if I have them when I am driving.

I used to drive a century FL that had upper and lower bunk windows on each side that opened and had bug screens. Definately reduced my idle fuel consumption enough to pay for them. And the pass side one helped with visibility in tight turns.

Anyone know if you can add the option to a FL Century on the passenger side if it didn't come standard?

The peterbilt 359 with the 63in sleeper has a sleeper door that you can actuall enter the sleeper without using the cab :)

Side windows... a large one like the Star's, mainly the Prostar's from Navistar are useful in backing into a tight spot, you can get a pretty good view out of them. Also if the fire is up front, just kick it out and climb out.
My biggest fear with my old truck was the fire being up front, laving me trapped in the back to burn.
