Sign Petition: Offer commutation as time served, or grant clemency to Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos

Sorry, the guy deserves to sit in prison for a minimum of 25 years. I won’t sign any such petition.

 

Should he have been sentenced to 25 or a sentence that would allow him to get released no earlier than 25 years?

 

What a lot of people don’t understand is that in most states, Colorado included there are mandatory minimums. For each count he was charged with the judges hands are tied when it comes to sentencing.

If your family was one of the victims burned to death because of this drivers negligence would you change your opinion? I bet you would.

I don't know if my feelings would change based on being a victim, but a little anecdote. A friend of mine was shot and killed 11 years ago. His sons now all carry, even though it is a rather anti-gun state (read New York, New Jersey or California).

 

I can't believe the issuer of his CDL isnt doing 10 years to boot.

 

Where is the petition to tie this idiot to a tree and let the victims' families beat him with a broomstick until they feel satisfied. I'd sign that one.

 

This needs to stop. It wasn't negligence (although there was plenty) that earned him this conviction.

He turned into stopped traffic because that was the safest thing for HIM. He chose to kill those people instead of risking his own life running into the ditch. Any way you turn it, he selfishly chose to let others deal with the consequences of his careless and negligent actions. This was no accident, it was an intentional collision.

 

Ok if you petition this because it’s to long of a sentence are we gonna also petition the other fatalities where there was no justice?

 

Why is the admin around here allowing this troll to stir the pot and promote this petition?
